Happy Holidays

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a restful holiday season, and if not — hey, you got through it.

I’ve been out of Swansea for the last couple weeks, and I am pleased to be settling back in.

The Environment Centre has had an awesome 2025 (spanning from super cool classes offered, to trees planted, and  community services provided) and I am looking forward to everything that will be happening here in the coming year! 

We can firstly look forward to the reopening of the Repair Space, the Library of Things, and the Switched on Hub. They will now all be housed in the Environment Centre’s building on Pier Street. That means you can grab your soaps, jewelry, and other eco-friendly goods from the lovely team in the Green Shop at the same time you visit any of the three teams.

I was scrolling through the treasure trove of goods offered through the Library of Things the other day. It’s such a wide ranging, helpful, and fun, collection of goods! From drills, to camping gear, to kitchen products, the library probably has it. 

Next month I will be back to following along with a project and giving you the inside scoop. But for now, I will sign off with holiday merriment and endless good wishes for you all in the new year. May 2026 be restorative for us and the earth.
