  • Discussing why community action is important to us and what we can do to generate this action within the groups we attend. Looking at approaches and tools to encourage community engagement and how to start discussing climate action with others.

  • A set of roundtable discussions that will introduce you to different roles you might like to take to generate climate action within your community and groups. This will include but not limited to activists, researchers, coaches, facilitators and many more...

  • An activity led workshop to equip you with the tools, techniques and understanding to talk about climate change, in ways that resonate with people’s values and inspire transformation. This could especially help if you are hesitant to discuss these issues.

  • In this session discover and try out a range of inclusive climate activities that you can replicate within your groups and community to inspire others to engage and where possible take climate action. Feel free to bring along your own activities to share.

  • This session will give you an overview of different things you can do in your community to help you build momentum with climate action in a safe and effective way including blogs, social media, events, and generating climate friendly spaces.

  • Begin to look at the most suitable way to create change within your community groups. We will look more specifically at the actions that are both impactful and feasible for you and where to find the right support and funding to achieve these actions.

  • An opportunity to learn about a range of tools that can be used to help your community take action. This includes but not limited to carbon foot printing, energy audits and climate action plans. Try out the right tools for you through interactive examples and Q&A.

  • Collectively we will consider what we hope the future of our communities in Swansea will look like. We will use visioning tools to consider how we will achieve these visions and the actions we could need to take within our community groups to achieve them including the pathway of steps to get there.

  • An evening of varied support including coaching, resources and tools to help you achieve your intended climate actions within your groups. There will also be an opportunity to network with other climate leaders to support and inspire each other.

  • An opportunity share to the network (e.g. activity, blog post, short discussion) your own climate action progress within your community groups. We will also take time to reflect on how well the process has been including the successes and challenges.
